How You’ll Win on the All Aboard Slot
The All Aboard slot game is a 20 line, 5 reel video slot game developed by Rival Gaming. It features expanding Wilds along with Multipliers and there are Free Spins along with a Bonus game. The Locomotive acts as the games Wild and only appears on the 1st and 2nd reel. When it expands, all winnings are automatically doubled. All-Aboard Slot Game Review. With its special set of multiplier values that can come into play during its free spins bonus game, players really should make sure they give the All-Aboard slot game as much play time as they possibly can do, in the hope that they will trigger that free spins bonus game. However with a high valued base game jackpot, there is always the chance of winning big from any base game spins.
This slot has 20 win lines and most of the symbols require 3 or more from the left on one of them to trigger a win. The best paying symbol is a golden handle of some sort. This pays 1600 coins if you hit 5, 800 for 4, 40 coins for just 3 and a consolation prize of 2 coins for only 2 on a win-line.
Other regular symbols include what looks like a ticket inspector (worth 480 coins for 5), a yellow repair car (360), boxcar with a horse’s head sticking out (320) and one of those pump handle trains that often feature in comedy sketches (240). There are other train related symbols making up the smaller wins too – this slot does not resort to using playing card symbols.
The steam locomotive is worth hitting, even though this will only appear on the first 2 reels. This is a wild symbol, substituting for any of the regular symbols above to create more wins. What happens when you hit one is that a railway track expands to cover all 3 positions on that reel. A train then goes past, turning all 3 positions wild. This can create a lot of extra wins, especially those times that you are lucky enough to hit trains on reels 1 and 2 at the same time.
Bonus Games on All Aboard
There are two bonus games, each triggered by different symbols.
First the train driver (called Casey Jones according to the pay table) will trigger a free spins bonus round. The number of free spins you receive will depend on how many of this symbol you get anywhere on the reels. 3 will trigger 10 free spins (with a 2x multiplier), 4 will get you 40 free spins with a 3x multiplier and 5 get you the maximum 40 free spins with a 4x multiplier.
The other special symbol is a bell, you cannot miss this as it chimes each time you see one anywhere on the reels. If you hit 3 or more, then a curtain will be pulled down over the reels – and you’ll be taken to the break out boxcar bonus game.
This is a simple enough game. You see 3 rails across the screen, each with 3 boxcars. You then click on a boxcar, which reveals a number of coins (and some escaping startled chickens). You keep going until you hit an empty car, at which point the bonus game ends. I found these wins to be generous compared to the payouts from the regular game.
The background sounds for this game are faint most of the time
But occasionally you hear the dings of crossing signals and the locomotives horn as the train approaches a crossing.

Because the sounds are faint and the crossing sounds only come up occasionally the background sounds don’t seem to become annoying like in other games.
But the sound effects used during the reel spin are another story all together.
When you hit the spin button and the reels start to spin it sounds like a train going down the tracks which would be fine by itself but there is a spinning sound that goes along with the spinningreels and it is awful.
You also hear a bell ring anytime the golden bell symbol lands on one of the reels. This doesn’t bother us as much as the continual spinning sound. When you complete winning combination dings gooff much like those that would go off at the crossing signs at railroad tracks.

Other sound effects are seen throughout the game that bring the symbol animation to life.

All the sound effects are well picked to suit the game theme except for the spinning sound during each spin.
